Club Notes 25/1/10

RESULTS: Last weekend was the turn of the Masters athletes with the National Indoors up for grabs. Pat Canty (O/50) was our top performer of the weekend with three medals including a gold in the 60m and bronze in the Long Jump and High Jump. Donal Crowley also performed very well with a treble medal haul also. Donal (O/60) was second in the Long Jump, second in the High Jump and third in the 400m. Patsy O’Connor (O/50) was at his usual best in the shot winning gold. Newcomer Kieran Moynihan (O/35) also acquitted himself very well by taking third spot in the 400m in his first National Championships. The category is very competitive overall with some athletes still competing at senior so Kieran can be very proud of his achievement. Well done to all the athletes and another good outing for our Masters.
