RESULTS: Well done to Stephen Griffin at
the weekend, who competed in the AAI Half Marathon Championship in TRAINING: The Cross Country season will be getting into full swing
over the coming weeks and months. The first meet is on October 5th
in Killarney in less than a month’s time with the AWARDS NIGHT: A tentative date
of Oct 11th has been set for the club awards night so mark the
calendars with this date. All will be confirmed in the next week or two so
watch this space for more detail. FIXTURES: Sunday Oct 5th, Kerry C/C-Even Age and Novice, The Demense, Killarney 12pm; Sunday Oct 12th, Kerry C/C- Uneven Ages, Intermediate and Masters, Ardfert 12pm; Sun Oct 19th Munster Novice & Even Ages Cross Country, Turnpike, Thurles Co. Tipperary; Mon Oct 27th AAI Marathon Championships Dublin; Sun Nov 9th, Munster Intermediate and Uneven Age Cross Country, Cooraclare, Clare; Sunday Nov 16th Kerry C/C Relays (Age Groups u9 4 x 250m/u11 4 x 250m/u13 4 x 500m/u15 3 x 500m) and Junior/Senior, Currow, 12pm; Sun Nov 23rd AAI Inter County and Juvenile Even Ages Cross Country, Venue TBD; Sun Nov 30th Munster Masters and Juvenile B Cross Country, Cork Venue; Sun Dec 7th AAI Novice and Juvenile Uneven Ages Cross Country, Venue TBD RUNNING LEAGUE (Fit4Life): The running league continues on Friday evening at 6.30pm from the Aquadome and Wednesday evenings at 6.30pm from St. Brendan’s Church. This league is primarily geared towards the casual runner/walker and is intended to be a mass participation event for all standards of athlete. All newcomers are welcome. CLUB E-MAIL: The club has set-up an e-mail system so athletes and members can receive regular updates by e-mail. Athletes and members can register their e-mail address via the website at www.traleeharriers.com. MISCELLANEOUS: A get well mention to Masters stalwart Martin McDonagh after his recent operation and no doubt we will see him in action again very soon. |
