Notes 29/9/08 TRAINING: The Masters indoor circuit
training moves to a new day and time this winter at Fridays from 9pm to 10pm.
The first session will take place on Friday 3rd October and every
Friday thereafter. At juvenile level, we hope to start our indoor circuit sessions
on Tuesday Oct 14th. The age groups and times have yet to be decided. The
outdoor sessions will more than likely take place on Thursdays and Saturdays. A
provisional fixture list for the indoor season is now available on the Tralee
Harriers website. Also athletes wishing to take part in the up and coming cross
country, please contact Michael Godley re training times at 087-6790948. AWARDS NIGHT: It’s that time of the year again, our annual awards night will be held on Saturday
Oct 11th at Fels Point Hotel. All are welcome to attend, especially
those who won a medal at the Kerry County Championships, Munster (including B
championship) and National Championships. All of these athletes will receive an
award on the night to acknowledge their outstanding achievements throughout the
year. Tickets are available from Moya Boyd (087-7757483) and Maria Godley
(087-2031887). Attendance needs to be confirmed as soon as possible. Tipperary; Mon Oct 27th AAI Marathon Championships Dublin; Sun Nov 9th, Munster Intermediate and Uneven Age Cross Country, Cooraclare, Clare; Sunday Nov 16th Kerry C/C Relays (Age Groups u9 4 x 250m/u11 4 x 250m/u13 4 x 500m/u15 3 x 500m) and Junior/Senior, Currow, 12pm; Sun Nov 23rd AAI Inter County and Juvenile Even Ages Cross Country, Venue TBD; Sun Nov 30th Munster Masters and Juvenile B Cross Country, Cork Venue; Sun Dec 7th AAI Novice and Juvenile Uneven Ages Cross Country, Venue TBD FIT4LIFE: The running league continues on Friday evening at 6.30pm from the Aquadome and Wednesday evenings at 6.30pm from St. Brendan’s Church. This league is primarily geared towards the casual runner/walker and is intended to be a mass participation event for all standards of athlete. A number of our runners have taken part in 10k and half marathons already and a number of road races are planned for the season. All newcomers are welcome.
