Club Notes 20/11/06 AWARDS NIGHT: The Awards night, held in the Earl of Desmond Hotel last Friday night was a huge success. Nearly 150 people attended the night and the celebrations continued into the early hours of the morning. The number of awards given on the night is a testament to the strength of the clubs athletes. Many athletes were recognized for their success at Munster, National and International success. Claire Fitzgerald received the Athlete of the Year award for her tremendous success this year. The award was accepted by her parents Martin and Helen on her behalf. There were also four awards given for Most Improved Athlete on the night. U9-13yrs Girls was given to Louise O’Connor, U9-13 Boys was given to Eoin O’Carroll, U14-19 Girls was given to Dearbhail Foley and the U14-19 Boys was given to Robert Sugrue. A special presentation was also given to Damien and Adrienne McLoughlin in recognition of their 26 year commitment to Athletics in Tralee. Again, we extend our thanks to them both for their continual involvement with the club. We would like to thank Mayor of Tralee Norma Foley and her husband for attending the night and for also reaffirming Tralee Town Council’s support for the club. Sincere thanks to Moya Boyd and Marie Godley for organising the night and to all who attended. TRAINING: Masters & Seniors circuit training takes place on Monday nights at 8 - 9pm in the KDYS hall. Juvenile circuit training is on Tuesday nights from 7 - 8.30pm in the Green school. All ages U12 upwards are invited to attend. Juvenile Outdoor training takes place at Castleisland on Thursdays from 7pm and on Sundays in Mounthawk school from 12.30pm.
